Bearing Witness to Trump Week 25

Week of July 9 – 15, 2017

Donald Jr. admits that during the election he met with Russians who said there were acting as agents of the Russian government who wanted Trump to win, and were now offering dirt on Hillary. Junior, with the same lack of morals and no sense of patriotism as his father, is reported to have said great, bring it on and “I love it.” For months during the election he said emphatically that there was no meetings and any claims that the Russians were trying to help his father’s campaign were disgusting and phony. Now he has lawyered up because some things are a crime above family royalty. He defends his action saying that calls and meetings with foreign agents to influence an American election was just routine opposition research. Trump Sr. says that all these meetings with Russians is just the rugged world of politics.

Trump offers to work with Russian on cybersecurity. Who could make up something timed like this? Yes, let’s collaborate with the foreign government who hacked our election and acted to influence our votes by colluding with a candidate.

While the nation is distracted with Russian influence, the Trump administration has established teams of deregulation  who have deep industry ties and who have now become part of the agencies they are supposed to regulate. Conflicts of interest run wild. Drain that swamp baby, drain.

The GOP promises to unveil its second attempt at repeal and replace ACA. Just in time for all those in Congress who want to give a terminally-ill infant from Britain a trip to the U.S. for residency, all while they won’t provide a guarantee of health care regardless of preexisting conditions. Such hypocrisy; they have no shame. Oh, some do. Those Republicans who refuse to support it not because it does not do enough to help Americans, but because it still does too much. Such good Christian fellers.
