Bearing Witness to Trump Week 23

Week of June 25 – July 1, 2017

The Trump administration has requested that the voter registration rolls for every voter in the entire country be turned over. Thankfully some states are refusing to comply. But strangely, Republican-led states that were so indignant about Federal powers during the Obama years see no problem with turning this data over.

Trump continues his attacks, insults, threats, and bullying against the U.S. press. One tweet shows Trump in a mock video pummeling a member of the media.

In a meeting with Ireland’s new prime minister, Trump stops to hit on an attractive female Irish reporter. It would all be so juvenile if he weren’t the President of the USA. How much more ashamed of our President can any of us become?

A GOP bill from the Republicans would allow tax exempt churches to endorse politicians.

The deficit is growing more rapidly than expected due to wealthy Americans taking steps to delay payments until the Trump tax reductions take effect.

EPA Director Pruitt has given noticed that he will cut and gut dozens of scientists from the Board of Scientific Counselors who are responsible for setting the research priorities of the EPA.
